Upcoming Movie Transformers

You're most likely to be a child of the 80’s to want to read about Autobots versus the Decepticons on planet Cybertron! If you are then we must have had the best childhood in history with so much popular culture having gone cult. Innovative characters in Transformers resulted in a tremendously successful toy line from Hasbro and Takara, a comic book series, television programme and an animated feature film. Let's not forget the legendary characters, including the two leaders of the opposing sides: Optimus Prime and Megatron.

Transformers was introduced in 1984, and the "Robots in Disguise" took the world by storm. It should also be noted that this is not a comic book movie. The comic book made it onto the shelves first because the TV series was delayed and so the comic book had to change it's plot considerably to match.More than 20 years later our generation is so very excited. The film has already been released in Australia and the reviews are very promising.

Peter Cullen is again the voice of Optimus Prime and has done voices for many other TV shows from the The Smurfs to G.I Joe. Frank Welker (Futurama, Family Guy) is rumoured to be the Voice of Megatron.

Directed by Michael Bay with Steven Spielberg acting as the executive producer, we are predicting it to be one of the highest grossing films of next year. It's here ladies and gentlemen... The Transformers movie in non-cartoon, computer generated glory just like the TV advert with the dancing Citroen C4 Transformer.
